I just did the big fight in Hunters Edge.

First try: We were standing left of the row of mountain men who were challenging Grutilda. After the little play the fight started and we were teleported directly into the orcs. There is no other name for this action. All of us were meters away from our original positions. In the first round our Wizard fortified and hasted Madora, then it was Madoras turn and she did a flurry attack to Grutilda, which was only possible because the game 'corrected' our positions. After this Grutildas turn came and she attacked two of our group, and after this the priest (AR ~100, 60-80% elemental resistances, 30% Tenebrium resistance) had less than half of her hitpoints (means a hit with at least 500 points in one turn) and Madora had lost around 120 hits. The turn continued, and something happend. Despite the fact that Madora was fortified (and hasted, our Wizard can do that) she suddenly had less than half of her hits and was slowed. For Madora that means around 700 points of damage, despite the fact that she has around 130 armor and was fortified, and has all resistances from 60-80%, Tenbrium around 30%. Are you serious?? And I did watch the fight closely, but did not even see that she was attacked again after Grutilda attacked. (It is not the first time someone of the party looses hits without me really seeing what caused it, btw.)

Second Try: Angry at this point I restarted the combat, and this time we positioned ourselves at the right of the line of mountain man near the eastern wall/door. This time our position were 'corrected' too, but not by much, except that the Wizard was standing in the door, and I mean the door itself, not the opening.
This combat went better, and we killed two of the supporting orcs, and brought Grutilda down to a few hits. Also we did heal one of the mountain men who would have died without help.
Despite that we were responsible for at least 2/3 of Grutildas hitpoint loss, we gave her several conditions like 'cursed' and 'Constitutiom lowered' not to mention the drunk state we caused before by supplying Whiskey to the orcs we received no XP when the (healed) mountain finished her off. We did receive XP for the two orcs. I stopped playing at this point...

I have lost my trust into the engine. Again and again things happen, which are unexplained and different from normal behavior. Usually if there are fights with allies, we receive XP for every enemy who falls.

Is there some explanation for this?

In earlier fights other peculiar things happened: For example, it is possible to 'recast' an Earth Shield spell. That is, the Wizard cast it new, when Madora (the target) had only one round more to go with her Earth Shield. Since she was standing in poison, this did matter. Recast went without problems, and the counter of the spell went from 1 to 3 rounds. Yet in the next round she was poisoned and started to loose hits from poison. Despite the Earth Shield. Looks like a script bug to me...

Another thing: Animating the enemies during round battle is nice. But it is not nice, when I try to target an enemy with my archer, and due to an animation the archer, instead of shooting runs into the enemy group. The interface is really bad sometimes. Also the line of sight checks are at least a bit fishy. There are cases, where my archer or Wizard have no line of sight to an enemy archer, but the archer during his turn and without moving anybody suddenly has line of sight.

Information: Party Level 18, last patch NOT installed, because I do not appreciate when a game in progress changes rules all of a sudden. (Tenebrium point change, and weapon strength requirement changes, and what else they did cook up).
