Well, after getting so ticked off at DD, I finally decided to install Planescape: Torment. It's been sitting on my desk since it came out. Well, it installed just fine, and it started out playing just fine, but when I went to the second level, the game started to autosave...and my CD-ROM began click click clicking. Then the game said it was loading the new area, and viola, CRASH TO DESKTOP!!!
Now, what does this have to do with Divine Divinity, you may wonder. Not a whole lot, except that it caused me to go out today and by myself a CD-RW drive. So now I ought to be able to read my divine divinity discs with my new drive. (And if my stupid save game won't work, I can save it to a CD (at 30 meg, there was no way to move it before...) and load it on my P4 system and see if it works there.
