The kickstarted project Sui Generis (which has been in development for quite some time) are close to releasing their standalone prelude to Sui Generis called 'Exanima'. It's just gone Beta on their site an it'll soon be on Steam early access. From what I can gather it'll be constantly updated with new features and mechanics while further creating their main game, Sui Generis.
