Oh good for you buddy, branching out and experimenting are good things.
When you get used to it, its pretty good ( thats why I compared it favorably with other isometric games).
I do not like FPS interfaces so it goes both ways (and every gamer has their preferred style of games) and I really struggled with them in some of the Aliens games and in Fallout 3, never could really feel comfortable with them, in the end I went back to isometric and RTS games.
