I have started a male survivor person and am now level 3(I think). Are these skills for a survivor that can fight as well as sneak and trade well? The list is in no order really:
-Assassin's Kiss (I use daggers) -Lockpick -Pickpocket -Evade Trap -Embrace Shadows -Poison Weapon -True Sight -Skin of Poison -Traders Tongue -Survivor's Instinct -Poison Damage -Death Strike -Telekinesis -Wizard's Sight -Alchemy
What do you guys(and gals) think of it?
I have these skills at level one as of now:
-Assassin's Kiss -Lockpick -Trader's Tongue -Wizard's Sight

well I can kill one orc warrior right now or a orc archer but not if there are more than like maybe 2 attacking me at once I can also kill the undead in the first level of the catacombs(going onto the second level) pretty easily but I think they might become a little bit of a problem later on. Do you think I shoud I move to another weapon with more damage and give up Assassian's Kiss for one of the warrior's weapon skills?

Yes. I think that's your best bet. I'm not a big sword fan, and I tried dagger and mace, and nothing compares to the swords you'll get in the game...my survivor is level 37 and the sword does 89-168 damage, but she rarely gives less than about 210...
But that's way later.
Try freezing the orcs. If I remember correctly, that works well...
Good luck! ali

well I decieded to get a spear and use that as well as a sheild. So far I'm doing well, I'm on the 4th (second to last) level of the catacombs with no problems but a little with the gouls traps that blow up (they hurt me )

Ghoul trap??! Maybe you mean spider mines. Well, I understand what you mean. They killed me a few times in catacombs. They are fast and very damaging. Playing a mage with very low hitpoints can be very annoying when you are hit hard when you were not expecting it.

I don't remember a good spear which is not random and playing Wastelands. But I'm sure you can buy/find one.

My survivor used dagger for 10 levels or so, but it quickly became an issue of: do I use dagger and shield for fun, or stand back not taking any damage and deal out more damage with a bow? I then used bow for the next 10 levels until I found a bastard sword that can hit for almost 100 damage. Now 2 to 3 sword-hits kills just about anything, and I can click Restore skill to heal when needed. I dont even need potions really except when I dont feel like resting.
I think your selection of skills is interesting, but what Ive seen of these game so far, its more about killing stuff then eating meat to heal-up, rather than trading and needing to evade traps. Need to be able to deal out damage, and then either avoid taking damage, or be good at soaking it up. Kinda simple when put into those terms, but when thats done we can focus on the story and exploration I guess. heh. Too bad the combat seems a bit too easy, but so was Diablo until the "Nightmare levels", so Im not surprised. I guess thats what DD needs. A much more difficult setting, without the "elite orcs" and such becoming unkillable.

Hey man i had a fighting survivor and it's great strong, i lost him because corrupted saved game before the new patch, look this:
Locki - Lvl 32 strght - 74 - agility or dex- 78 vitality - 63 energy - 38
skills -
lockpick - 5 meteorstrike - 5 augment damage - 5 wisdon - 5 elemental arrows i think that's the name( two balls of fire) - 3 death knight - 3 lightning strike - 3 freeze - 3 restoration - 4 sword expertise - 3 magic and phisical shield - 3 and 2 other skills had one or two points if necessary, these points of skills count with book spells and solved quests. I use swords and shields and heavy armors, i don't had many points in the way of warrior some skill like true shot and +5 i don't use and some sumonning skill i never use only death knight.

You should be able to see a teleporter pad in the back room... search his property west of the house, near the fence.
