Where are you in the game and what are you experiencing?
It sounds like you are facing enemies that can only be damaged by magical attacks which never miss. There is an annoying portion of the game where if you don't have mages, you'll never kill a thing since the hit chance is stupid low.
You need at least 2 mages on your team to get though the game. What I did to get around these problems is summon as many creatures I could (3 total) and have them crowd an enemy as that will increase your hit chance. Also blessed earth and that spell the archer can get to increase luck is a huge help.
Most monsters can be frozen so make it rain and keep casting ice spells. It will at least keep a few from attacking until you slowly kill one off at a time by crowding a single monster with 3 summons.
Around level 17-18 these problems went away and the end boss was VERY stinking easy, just a long battle.
