If you lower the game resolution and drop the graphics quality to Very Low, does that make a difference?
What about setting a frame rate cap, if it is not already enabled?
If you press the 'Cmd' key at game startup, you can try enabling everything in the 'Workaround' section. If that helps, you can repeat the process and selectively remove workarounds until you have just the one(s) needed.
If that doesn't help, please email supportdos@larian.com, with your system specs and a recent crash report.
To get system specs you can use the 'System Report' button from the 'About This Mac' Apple menu item or the 'System Information' app (in the utilities folder). Crash reports are collected in the "Console" application.
