Thanks for a detailed reply. I've known about the 'science' behind it for some time now.
Note I've never 'believed' in them myself, I just know what others believed, which just makes me not want to associate with them. I do believe it's a very poor choice to add it to the kickstarter bonuses. Dice would have been cool.
