Would you rather have Divinity Original Sin RPG Dice or a Divinity Original Sin Oujia Board?

I brought up a thread about my concerns on the Oujia board and a few have stated they'd rather have Divinity Original Sin RPG dice instead of the board.

This thread is not meant for the continued debate on the Oujia board. This is a simple question. I'm asking all forum mods to delete all posts that would add fuel to an actual debate if Oujia boards are good/bad real/toys.

Of course I'll go with the dice. I'll drive co-workers nuts when I use them to make all my decisions!

Every time there I run into trouble on the road, there is always a dwarf at the bottom of it. Don't they know how to drive above ground?

Sure, I'd prefer the dice over the weewee board.

Dice for sure. The board is a witty idea, I confess, but once the board is out if sight, it will be out of mind. Its useless really.

I've heard that dice was a big problem for DOS collector back then. I don't know why though.
Maybe Raze knows more about it.

As the D:OS collector's edition was starting to get put together, near the end of May last year, the manufactured for the dice reported that they wouldn't be able to deliver them in the beginning of June as planned, but mid July. It was too short notice to find a suitable replacement (for dice or an alternate item), so the dice had to be dropped rather than delay the release of the CE (would have moved it back to the end of July). The box art had to be changed, but fortunately they hadn't started being printed yet, and it was possible to delay that until the back of the box could be altered to remove mention of the dice.

Leaning strongly towards dice, however might not be feasible considering the issues Raze had.

Probably dice, but as long as it comes with enough trinkets to make me go "ooh, shiny!" I'll be happy enough.

Dice, but where's the poll?

You have to be a forum mod to add a poll to a new topic (it can't be edited in or added as a reply).

I'm not sure there is much need for a poll, though, given that everyone prefers dice, from slightly to strongly. It would basically just be counting the people who care enough to click, but aren't inclined to post.

It's just flavor related merchandise. I suppose D:OS 2 has a lot to do with interacting with the spirits (dead or otherwise) in the game to gather information, steal souls, etc. It makes it an appropriate 'flavor' reward for the game.

dice for sure, but they screwed that up last time already, the dice in all the collectors editions, including mine, were missing because the company which should make them could not finish the job in time, despite divinity being late so much.

I would prefer dice.

But this is not very importand for me. I gave 205$ to get the hoodie and paper books (game guide and lore book).

If I get the board, I could use it to cut my bread and veggies on it.

I'm only keen on dice if:

- Larian can prevent a repeat of the previous incident or if Swen gives his OK

- dice are quality materials, not China factory knockoffs

- manufacturer knows their stuff and can actually meet the order
2nd edit: As in they won't be "outsourcing" the job which in turn is "outsourced' again to yet another company

(Edit: I do know custom items can take time, not to mention a mass batch. The materials have to be similar in quality and also take time to be produced + shipped)

It's all up to Swen and Larian. smile
