I'm known for having a really bad memory, but I don't even remember swearing or nudity in DOS1... Only the mostly circomvulated, shakespearian-style of almost any living soul in the game. Which is one of the reason I love it.
I don't quite recall Shakespeare's level of crudeness, though Chaucer apparently knew how to do vulgarity properly: not that I'm well versed in his writing, though we probably have a copy of The Canterbury Tales lying around somewhere.
