I'm running the latest patch. I did not have any crashes until now but as soon as I kill the Void Dragon the game crashes. It has happened twice now.

Did you use the same strategy in both fights? If it is the actual death causing the crash, maybe killing the void dragon in a different manner will help.

Try lowering the resolution and graphics settings, and/or switching the game to a windowed mode.

For the Steam version, did you try verifying local files? In the library, right click on Divinity Original Sin and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button.
For the GOG version, if you kept the installer (and patch(es), if you downloaded one of the older full installers), you could uninstall, reboot, make sure there is nothing left in the install folder, shut down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) and re-install.

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a brief description and your latest save before the fight. Each save is a folder in the '..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\PlayerProfiles\<ProfileName>\Savegames' folder. In Windows Explorer you can zip a file or folder by right clicking on it/them and selecting 'Send To | Compressed (zipper) Folder'.

Thanks for the quick answer Raze. It's a Steam version and the integrity of the files is fine. I've started the fight a third time and this time I was lucky (I did not have any summons this time, not sure if this might be a reason).

The crash did not happen the instant the dragon was killed, but I believe it occurs before the animation is supposed to start. In any case, I've sent my save and my dxdiag file to the email address that you've mentioned. If there is anything else that you might need for your investigations please let me know and I'll try to help.

I'm glad you got it without too much more effort. Just the save should be fine. This hasn't been reported before, that I recall, so may be a random glitch. In any case, the final fight was changed in the Enhanced Edition.
