I concur. That would be the most elegant solution, in my opinion.

I don't feel like that's going to make people happy though. It's the fact that you're not actually going to see your character's face much due to the isometric perspective. It's not going to change when you talk to people, so having intensive face customization isn't particularly going to matter much.

Body configuration on the other-hand... that's a lot more noticeable, as well as skin color and such. It'd also be great if we could get color pickers for our hair/skin instead of 'sandy beach blonde' or 'midnight sunlight' or whatever.
