Come on guys @Hisshou wrote a pretty detailed comment as to why there's nothing special about a Ouija board compared to another piece of wood.

It's not that long ago that people thought that D&D was evil and about devil worship. Imagine if someone simply decided that Scrabble was spirits contacting you (instead of a game for your grandma to wreck you at) depending on what letters came out first.

I personally love the idea of a Ouija board, dice would have been good, so would a cloth map. However I think the Ouija board fits thematically, and I love Larians creativity as a company, and would only suggest they change something if it didn't fit.
