I don't recall if there is a dig spot marked there, or if you may need a higher perception to see it (there are spells and potions you can use to boost perception temporarily, or earth summons tend to have good perception, so you could try summoning a spider, if available).
Double click on a shovel or right click and use it; you can dig even if there is no spot revealed.
