For Divinity: Original Sin, there were several in-game digital rewards available at different pledge prices (e.g. Kickstarter Potion, Zandalor's Epic Trunks of Intelligence, pet companion, engraving tools, etc). I haven't seen anything like that this time around. Is Larian not including any for the Divinity: Original Sin 2's Kickstarter campaign?

This is not a criticism. I'm aware of the issues that popped up with Kickstarter rewards for the last campaign. I'm just making sure I'm not missing a listing of them somewhere, and the focus seems to be more on physical items (hoodie, books, cloth map, etc) this campaign.

Yup, the game will be same for all, no exclusives.

As a Divine Noble you still get to design a character ^^

I think this is for the best. We get alpha/beta access and behind-the-scenes footage, and physical rewards at certain tiers. In-game exclusive items seem unfair.

If you'd like to try you hand at designing said character, GOG folks turned that into 'design-a-hero' community event. You can post your ideas and everyone will vote for the best one :)

I don't know if I'm allowed to post links but you can easily find that on their forums.

I'm really glad to see they're not doing in-game exclusives (even as a higher-tier backer). I've never been a fan of the plague that sees games having seemingly increasing amounts of bits shaved off to offer as exclusives for people with such-and-such a platform, pre-orders or to sell for a "bargain" price sometimes at the same time as the game itself. I think Larian deserves credit for turning away from all that malarky...

I totally agree with Vometia. I hate all those exclusive retailer specific pre-order specials that some publishers tend to throw around. Imho CD Projekt RED is taking the correct approach (all digital content available to everyone), so I'm glad to see that (so far) Larian is following in their footsteps.

Does anybody know if the physical rewards are limited to the kickstand campaign? I really want those hard cover books, but can't pay for it right now smirk

Currently, they are exclusive to the Kickstarter.

My guess is that, if they should at some point decide to make a retail version of the Collector's Edition available in stores (and that's a big if, it's questionable if there is sufficient demand for it), that it will be considerably more expensive than the kickstarter version...

My local currency is under a crisis, so each of those books are costing what would be $50 in other situations. Unfortunately, can't buy it frown

Hopefully they'll be available again at some point.
