i can remember a game that sorted the inventory items... i can't remember what it was. might have been throne of darkness.. but i can't remember for sure.
It should be Dungeon Siege. That game had a few good ideas which made adventuring much easier. For example, this tidy inventory button and auto-pick up the loot button.
