Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Cannot locate the CD-ROM

The game was running fine for months untill I installed this patch.

I don't have any wierd cd-cloning software and don't plan on getting any. The right CD _IS_ in there. I can open it up from "My Computer" etc. The game just can't open it I guess.

The cd-rom drive is fairly new. Want the model?

What should I do?

(last time this happened with a game, I bought a new CD-ROM drive, I don't think I'll buy another one, this one's still pretty new)

I have read about this problem a few times since the latest patch has been released, and I think (not sure though...) it has to do with a copy protection problem. I don't claim that you don't have a correct version of the game, don't worry <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> I will look for a solution for this problem, but I'm afraid I can't help you earlier than Monday, since the people who are taking care of this are not present now. Sorry for this inconvenience.
