I hate tea. Get out. I kid. But seriously, get out and buy a bunch of tea to try. And not the teabag type, real proper loose tea.

I hate tea. With so many types out there maybe you just haven't found the right one yet See, you actually love tea, you just don't know it. Not yet... Yeah... I'm also loving tea... really...! Especially fermented hop tea...

I don't know that expression; yes, the colour is pale yellow, but oolong-tea is something between black and green tea. @Lord_Crash: You hate tea? I am sorry, but it seems to me, thou hast no taste.

But it just is OBVIOUS, for us people of good faith, that in NO WAY teabag-lipton-like tea can ever be considered as genuine. Here in Paris we have an excellent tea shop, named Mariage Fr鑽es. I often go there an buy teas, but it's super expensive. They also serve food ( brunch, lunch ), in a Colonial themed restaurant, and it's just... To die for. Their tea selection is overwhelming, which is why I can't really pinpoint a particular type of tea I like. I know I aim more easily toward black and roobois/red, but really I take anything that smells nice. I also buy Dammann Fr鑽es and L'autre Th (" the other tea "), Other Tea having the ambition of making Bio tea with conceptual flavour. Not the best but since there is shop 10m from my home, it's good. But really here, Mariage Fr鑽es is the king. They have two favorites : Marco Polo and Th sur le Nil . Nile is my mother's favorite.

I don't know that expression; yes, the colour is pale yellow, but oolong-tea is something between black and green tea. Maybe it's a french thing only ? We classify tea by "colours", so Black, GReen are the most common, but then come Red ( often considered as Rooibos even if it's a little different ), Blue, White, Yellow. White is essentially tea buds if I recall correctly, while Blue is Oolong ( more or less ). Yellow is a more refined Green : it's a very, very costy tea claimed to have been the tea of the Emperors ( hence the color, since Yellow was the imperial color ).

But the Blue and Yellow could be a French thing. Oolong is as far as I know, black (sometimes classified as black/green tea).

@Lord_Crash: You hate tea? I am sorry, but it seems to me, thou hast no taste. I love a good coffee though (in various forms). Do I have taste? Some say yes, some say no... Tea is just water with some (herbal) dirt in it.

Tea blasphemers
There is only one Teas and that is Earl Gray of Lipton.
Brewed to perfection then sweetened with sugar (while hot) and if your feeling a little adventurous add a hint of lemon.
For the great "Southern Sweet Tea" :P
I hate when going up north and asking for a sweet tea and they give me a regular tea and some sugar packs

Well, I love coffee (good one) as well as tea (good one). ;-)
I'd never drink (or eat) anything unsophisticated.
Sounds a bit posh, I know, but life is too short to waste time with bad food...or bad beverages.
