Thanks for supporting local coop on the PC, it's very rare to see that these days, and it wasn't very common in the older days, either. Also much thanks for your policies concerning the EE edition.

That said, I wonder why it's 2 controllers only mode. Would 1 keyboard/mouse + 1 controller be too costly to implement? It seems far more logical.

If that's not possible, would it be possible to run 2 instances of EoCApp.exe on the same computer, connect them to each other and play that way?

I think there were issues with mixing the different UIs in certain circumstances, which would have taken too long to try to fix.

You can run two copies of the game (or can with D:OS, anyway), but I don't know if they would support LAN co-op that way.

Thanks for your fast response! I also lurked here somewhat and am amazed to see how patient and responsive you are, I have yet to see any other "community managers" like that anywhere else, although granted, I've only been to around 20 or so places.

Btw, I cannot find the PC EE available anywhere to buy, so I assume if we buy the original before the 27th (even if on the 26th), it automatically gives you the EE?

I hope you guys manage to fix the UI clash soon after release! I'll try test the double process workaround when the game is released, since it isn't possible to test with the base version without controller support.

Yes, if you get D:OS before the EE is released you'll get the EE automatically added to your Steam or GOG library. There aren't any pre-orders for the PC version, AFAIK.

Thanks, in that case you'll be pleased to hear you made a sale.

As for the controller + PC thing, the game allows you to connect 2 games running on the same PC via LAN, and one can use the keyboard while the other uses the controller.

However the input won't be sent to the game that isn't in focus. Any way to solve that?

If not, I guess I'll have to wait till you guys fix the UI clash.

I don't know of any way to get around input being sent to the game instance with focus. I saw a project some months ago designed for running 2 copies of a game to simulate local split screen, but IIRC it was in the early stages, and I don't recall what it was called or where I saw it.

Btw, it appears you only support the "Xbox 360 controller for Windows" TM or "Xbox One", is that correct?

Meaning for any generic controller, we'd need a compatibility layer? I was certainly forced to use it.

Something like x360ce (x360ce_x64 specifically, since EE is only x86_64?)?
http://www.x360ce.com/

you are lucky this exists because the number of games locked to x360 controller is staggering. I hope it is of use to you in the future when people ask for compatibility problems. Though you probably knew of its existance, anyway.

Can you confirm you guys are still working on 1keyboard + 1 controller support? Or has it been abandoned entirely?

Oh, and is there any way to make Alt (show items) toggle instead of hold?
