The patch had been sent to CDV many months ago, no release - then one of the German gamers mailed CDV, here is the answer, from the 12th March 2003:
concentrate on Marlene's post, pleaseAs you see, nothing came after that.

Everyone said that the patch has not yet ironed out all reported mistakes (bugs?), and should introduce NO new mistakes if possible, and to remove the mistakes, both technical and substantive (gameplay) in nature, Divine Divinity must be played all the way through with all of the possible variations of quests, classes, and stats, skills etc., to become thoroughly tested and verified. And the complex and non-linear game structure means that "Divine Divinity" cannot be tested in a few hours.
