Hi, apologies if this has been asked before, I did a search of the forum and had no results.

Am I crazy or are formations not in the PS4 version? I have this on PC too and I am aware the formation pane is at the top above the character portraits but I can't for the life of me find it on PS4. My party are walking in and out of poison/fire all over the place and its very frustrating.

How do I make them walk single file?
I could be tired and completely missing something obvious.

Hi all,

The formation button seems to be missing on console as even on Xbox One version it isn't present.

Nope, you didnt miss anything. Larian seems to have missed it. I am playing on PC btw, with a PS4 controller attached, so I get the same nice pretty UI and experience as you are getting on the PS4. And I also do not have a formation button, or any other way to change the formation. I can solve it on PC, by exiting the game, coming back in, and starting with keyboard mode. Once I am in keyboard mode, the entire UI changes to the old-style, including the same party UI with the button on top. But when I come in via controller-mode, the new fancy UI is back and there is no function for party formation.

I really want to see them fix this, because playing with the controller (and getting the updated UI and experience that goes with it) is the BEST way to play this game, by far. Its fabulous!

However with the Xbox one will be possible to plug in an external keyboard and use it for browsing purpose (with the new system update), would be interesting to see a patch to enable keyboard control for game such Divinity and similar.

Right, I'm not blind then, phew.
It seems like they try their best to path around the hazards but if you stop, take your finger off the stick briefly or turn around it seems like they go back into their 2x2 grid formation and stand in it.

Hi, created an account specifically for this issue. I have D:OS (and indeed all the other Divinity games) on PC, but recently got EE for the XBox One for Christmas. Only just this weekend have had a chance to sit down with it, and noticed that the group formation options are totally absent (or at least hidden extraordinarily well.)

Put me down as being in favour of having this feature added at the earliest possible convenience, it would really help.

Hi, I usually hold L2 and press square on Madora (my "tank") and put her on top on the character portrait, while my squishier characters and the bottom, including one of my MC. With this setup, every time the battles begin, Madora will run to the front line while my mage MC while go back to the back line. Hope this help you all.
