Do you really believe this? Imagine watching The Terminator or Alien or The Dark Knight without swearing. It's extremely hard to name decent film targeted at adults that does not have any swearing. Yet people are still tied to the idea that all video games are targeted at children by default.
I'm reminded of Planet Of The Apes, where Charlton Heston exclaimed "Gosh darn you all! Darn you all to heck!" in his best Hank Hill voice. Possibly.
I dunno, it has its place. Gratuitous swearing sounds juvenile, but gratuitous swear-avoidance sounds no better. As usual, it's a matter of striking a balance.
