Was there as much crowd control coming from ennemies in Classic than there are in Tactician ? If there already was, how did you manage to deflect it? :p
The Brotherhood of norD is love, the Brotherhood of norD is life.
Recalling from my still-fresh memory, I haven't experienced any grenades from enemies, nor do they shoot area control special arrows. I guess this is where the difficulty comes in with tac mode. I still get burned or frozen or poisoned but in very few occasions were more than two party members affected, and those two usually stands close.
I tend to let my mage leave the chain and stand behind the frontline, and cast elemental shield when in his turn, during combat, that way my ranger can safely shoot area control to enemies without worrying about affecting close combat teammates.
For example: Rouge start with haste + float + shadow clock ranger shoot static cloud arrow, mage cast air shield, next turn rouge goes into the cloud and free DPS. If Rouge's hit point gets low, he can teleport back to the mage and get healed.
Just finished Tactition mode myself. Not really impressed with the difficulty increase overall. Yes, enemies did try to CC me a good bit, Archers used Knockdown and Ice arrows (but NEVER static cloud) frequently, usually on their first turn. Still, by the time I got out of cyseal I had everything under control. Most enemies never even got a turn after that, including the bosses. I never really noticed much in the way of additional enemy spawns outside Cyseal either, it really feels like they put all the difficulty into the first area, which was already probably too hard especially by comparison to the rest of the game.
Two warriors, Jahan and Bairdotr. So many times did I wonder why I even bothered with Jahan, magic was useless until I had the level 15 rain spells, and even then it was only just barely competitive with my (admittedly broken as hell by that point.) other party members.
Here's a video showing the short work I made of the Void Dragon. This is just pathetic for a final boss. Again, remember this is on tactician mode.
