No new Talents will be patched into the EE, but I sure hope the situation is improved in D:OS 2.
I completely agree that more Talents which offer things you can base a build around really should be added. And the more Talents, the better, even if some of them are lackluster, it matters less if there are more good ones.
I love most of your suggestions. That's the kind of stuff which Talents really could add to the game, and the lack of things like those is one reason why I was disappointed with Original Sin's Talent selection.
These won't be changed for the EE, so these are more for the benefit of thinking about D:OS 2.
Existing Talent Re-balance suggestions:
- All Skilled Up - increased from 2 Ability points to 3 Ability points
- Anaconda - All crushing-type damage increased by 10% (not just weapons but skills as well)
- Avoid Opportunists - Removed and merged with Escapist.
- Back-Stabber - Removed. Dagger-type weapons can inherently backstab without a Talent requirement.
- Escapist - You now also have a 50-100% chance to avoid triggering/being hit by Attacks of Opportunity.
- Elemental Affinity - 20% Chance to be unaffected by that surface's status effect added. Check happens each turn at the start.
- Glass Cannon - AP benefit of +4 Remains the same. Penalty decreased from -50% HP to -33% HP.
- Guerrilla - Additional +50% damage added to backstab attacks, regardless of sneaking or not.
- Hyperopia - Additional effect: Bow and Crossbow maximum range increased by 10 meters.
- Know-It-All - Special tag added which adds new conversation options in certain situations.
- Leech - Code changed and entities own blood cannot heal them, only the blood of others. (Admittedly that sounds like a pain to program).
- My Precious - All rings you wear gain a bonus modifier. Only appears if you have My Precious Talent. Bonus mod is fixed upon equipping. Bonus mod does not alter sale price.
- Pack Mule - Strength-based attacks with a chance to inflict a status effect gain an additional 10% chance for an effect to happen.
- Politician - Special tag added which adds new conversation options in certain situations.
- Scientist - Special tag added which adds new conversation options in certain situations.
- Sidewinder - (This was someone else's idea but it's a good one): Gain an additional 5% damage reduction per enemy flanking you (minimum two enemies).
- Weatherproof - Just remove this from the game. Wow why is this here still.
