We've completed slaves and masters, giving the imp the courage potion, and the quest journal hasn't updated. We had a blood stone in our pack when we first approched Fredrick and denied him access to it. I'm not sure if that may have messed up the quest or not. The last entry for the quest is as follows:
"We gave the potion to the imp, and he gained the courage to escape the cave."
