I'm having a different question now. While glad the issue might finally be getting resolved this game has been sitting on my shelve for going on 3 weeks now and if the eta for the patch is somewhere in December, making it almost 2 months of dust collecting at that point, which might solve the problem making that it's not even certain, this has been quite the thorn in my eye. When the master chief collection had issues of this magnitude at launch, which they admitted almost immediately rather than boast on their twitter and what not the success of a faulty game, they gave those early buyers who were somewhat duped a compensation in a free download of Halo 3 ODST. Are we to expect some sort of compensation for not being able to play the game for 2 months in the way advertised or are we just shit out of luck?
