Did you try starting the game as administrator?
Try renaming the ..\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\graphicSettings.lsx file, and see if the game will recreate it on startup (that may have been what caused the crash, but running as administrator may help).
Do you have an unusually high desktop resolution, or odd refresh rate, etc?
