All the char and item scripts are in the Public/Shared/Scripts folder. Just open with Notepad++, no need to convert. It's a bit hard to really understand the scripts without knowing what characters have what scripts (which you may be able to figure out by looking at the lsbs of particular characters, but that might be a hassle.) See this thread for a primer, though I think it's easier to actually look at examples first and then read that thread after to clarify things.
