Awesome! Thank you very much. I'm looking forward to the fix whenever it becomes available.

Me and my freind have been playing splitscreen on Ps4, and often when we quick-save the game crashes. This has been annoying, but usually solved by doing a regular save before entering an area that forces a quick-save.
A new problem has appeared; new saves both quick and regular don't load, returning the screen to whatever we were viewing a moment ago.
These both make the game unfinishable...
I have submitted several bug reports already through the Console Bug Report, but I now need some solution. The game progress is at the Phantom Forest, after deciding Arhu's fate without entering the Temple of the Dead. I can provide as many details as necessary to get this resolved.

I really like how this models the playstyle of D&D, and I and my roomie want to finish it.

Also, End of Time rooms don't open; I thought the statue was supposed to open new rooms. Amusingly, we haven't used more than 3 bloodstones, but we tried using the other 6 we collected to no avail.

Is Zixzax standing by the statue, or one of the portals, encouraging you to enter?
Did you do so, get a conversation with Astarte or the demon (depending on the room) and then return to the main area by the portal (rather than using Rift Travel to exit the End of Time)? In some cases, you need to return to the main section of the homestead with a main character in the lead; for the Hall of Heroes, for example, that is required to get a dialogue triggered, which is needed to completely open that portal.

Check the last portal opened. When a portal is completely open it will be marked on the map, so if there is a portal active without a marker, it means you didn't enter and get the encounter, or there was an issue with the encounter.

If the homestead is under attack, then it is by design that no portals are opening. You need to stop the fireballs raining down (doing something in the northern part of Luculla). Talk to Zixzax and check your quest log.


If old saves, or new ones made in a new game, will load properly, but recent saves will not, then the problem is likely something in the save itself.
Are the saves that crash associated with particular map areas? Did you start to have any crashes when trading with particular NPCs or in particular maps? If so, there will be a fix for that (and another crash issue that can occur after reaching Luculla, but you are past that point) in a patch to be released early next year.

Please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description of the problem (or link to your post) and a couple saves (or a Dropbox or Google drive link, etc).
You would first need to transfer them to a USB flash drive to get them onto a computer: in the Saved Data in System Storage section of the Settings menu, click Copy to USB Storage Device, select the relevant save and Copy.
Include your latest save, and maybe the oldest that won't load and most recent that does.

When I do auto detect for graphics it puts me on ultra but runs so slow everything lags just to play the game I have to set to very low I updated drivers etc ran a test to see if my pc could run the game got all green lights so not really to sure what to do thank you.

I'm on PS4 and have noticed the trait bonuses count as an actual stat increase.

So say you pick up the Pragmatic trait and want to level crafting to lvl 2 you need to spend 2 ability points instead of 1. It will never save you the ability points it should do unless you level the ability to the point you want first then pick up the trait (probably impossible).

Obedient is the only one I've seen that works like it should (probably because it's tied to the leadership buff), Independent has the same issues as above though.

It's extremely annoying and makes dual lone wolf runs a chore when it comes to ability point allocation.

Oh a hide helmet option would be great too :-D

im playing with pc i set to lowest settings but its no use fps looks normal and i start new game but it happen again especially after enter hiberheim lags 3-15 sec its very annoying

Did you try lowering your game resolution?

Are you shutting down all non-essential programs (especially anti-virus) before starting the game? Firewalls have caused conflicts (generally on loading screens) and overlays from graphics tweaking/monitoring programs or chat programs have also caused issues.

What are your specs?

So a new game is fine, and you eventually start having performance problems? Or does a new game lag, and it gets worse after reaching Hinerheim?

I think someone mentioned it happens on PC too using the controller UI, but it's fine when switching the m+k.

Thank you a few of these I haven't tried will test them and let you know if nothing changes along with pc specs

AMD FX 4300 quad core processor 3.80 ghz
8gb ram are specs also made sure nothing was running in the background shut my anti-virus down and only time I see a difference is if I switch to very low graphics and that barely makes a difference

I downloaded Original Sin EE, and I haven't been able to launch it due to the crash that according to these forums seems to have been extremely common. It is the one that states that "the application failed to create the rendering device." I have tried pretty much every fix on these forums, and altogether i have:

-Verified that my computer has the right specs and my video card supports direct x 11 (Nvidia gt550m)
-Updated both my video and sound drivers
-Turned off antivirus software while launching
-uninstalling/reinstalling/verifying integrity of game cache on steam
-Downloaded a hotfix which is supposed to fix DDI version from showing up as 10.1 instead of 11 in dxdiag (even though that is supposed to be just a dxdiag visual bug and shouldn't actually affect the game)
-tried running on compatibility mode
-lowered my desktop resolution before launching

Not sure what else to try, and I don't like throwing 40 bucks down the drain, any help or pointing out anything I've missed is appreciated!

There is a known alignment issue which may have effected that character (if they don't just have a low reputation with being caught stealing / trespassing / etc, and/or the Stench or Know It All talents). This was fixed on PC and will be fixed in an update on consoles to be released early in the new year. There is no ETA yet, a fix from the PC update yesterday has to be integrated into the comsole patch, and then it will be resubmitted to Sony and Microsoft.

It at least fixed a performance problem that could develop mid to late game (stutter or lag with non-lead character running animations being the first symptom), which could become more pronounced when switching map areas, and eventually lead to crashing on those loading screens.

I've reached the first of the Rock spike barriers in Hiberheim that the disembodied voice can control, but it goes down and then back up before I can click the ground on the other side never mind actually move across. If I hit F8 to do a quick reload and then repeat the process the spikes don't even move after the voice has said its piece. Windows version of the game.

Sorry for my English, but I've got a little problem with the game:
My friend got the Collector's edition of the game in Steam and gave a copy to me.
We tried to play online, but the game didn't start on his computer. (My version works fine)
After some strange actions he manage to run the game (he get the link on the desktop and launch the game from it) the game runs, but in mane menu there is only "v" without any numbers of version.
When he tried to connect to anybody the "invalid server version" error appears.
Please, help us.

A couple people didn't report back, but in the other cases it could be fixed by re-installing the game, preferably to a different location (if re-installing to the same location, make sure everything EE related is removed from the install, My Documents and Steam folders before re-installing). In one case, someone who had both versions of the game from the D:OS Kickstarter just installed the GOG version after encountering this problem with the Steam version. With the GOG version one person reported that re-installing it into the Program Files folder helped, though I don't know if the folder itself made a difference or just the re-install.

Well fixed it had to reinstall 2 times nothing else changed but runs good now no more running slow or bad graphics when casting spells must of been the pc gods
