Within the past week, after playing 90 hours, the game is crashing. It doesn't matter if I quick save, regular save, new save. It doesn't matter if I am in a town, at the end of time, or in the middle of a forest. I am really frustrated. I am replaying big fights, having to remake gear, resell to merchants, lose great gear items, etc. I shouldn't have had to re-do the Jareth quest 3 times before a save worked. As soon as I click save, about half the time, the game crashes and goes back to the main ps4 screen.
I see alot of load crashes but is anyone else having save crashes?

Hi Amy I had the same issue on the PS4. What I noticed is the first time I save a game it works fine (this includes autosaves) but after the first save any additional save will crash the game. What I was able to do is after every time I save or I see an autosave I would close the game down completely and re-open it. This is very tedious and be warned this is the only beginning of your troubles. Soon you will not be able to travel to Lucuala Forrest and the game will soon start crashing every time you talk to a vendor.
These are game ending bugs for the PS4 that have been known about for over two months since release. You should try to get a refund.

The possible bug crashing in Luculla Forest (related to trying to destroy troll droppings) will be fixed in the upcoming patch (no ETA yet, but the patch itself done or pretty much done). Some for the possible crash with trading or teleporting to certain regions, if you do a lot of trading with looted or crafted items.
The crash when saving could be an issue in the save itself. I'll check if that is a known issue, but in the meantime, please email supportdos@larian.com, with a description and your latest save. You would first need to transfer a save to a USB flash drive to get it onto a computer: in the Saved Data in System Storage section of the Settings menu, click Copy to USB Storage Device, select the relevant save and Copy. From there you can copy it to email or upload to Dropbox or Google drive, etc, and provide a link.

I am having the same issue. Only while saving on ps4. it doesn't matter where, what difficulty level or whether or not it's on force split screen.
Thought the save files were corrupted so started over. Crash started happening on every single save file after that.
Getting to the point I see a reason to play since I can't get any further.

So even if you create a new profile in-game and start a new game, it crashes when saving?
I don't know if there is a way to verify install files on a PS4, but you can clear the cache by turning off the PS4, waiting 30 seconds and turning it back on.

When's that annoying Luculla forest bug that crashes the game will be fixed?! I'm running Honour mode (which means 1 save file) on PS4 and this shit completely ruined my run. Pls, fix ASAP. I still have earlier save game in online storage, but I dunno if I should continue if this bug persists.

There is no ETA, but the patch is currently going through the submission process with Sony.

Focus having the previous patch mid December was not 2 months ago.
There was an issue fixed on PC the day before Christmas Eve that had to also be integrated into the console patches, and then the patches resubmitted.

The thread was created and the issue acknowledged on 11/11/2015. Two months ago. Meanwhile... I still can't play the game I paid $59.99 for on October 26th.
You can spin it however you want but we have been literally waiting months for your game to be playable.

Saying a known issue will be fixed in an upcoming patch, when it was still being worked on, is not the "same answer" as the patch being complete and going through the release process with Sony.
I'm not trying to 'spin' anything, just correct the false impression you gave claiming the "same answer" was given 2 months ago.

You can argue it all you want. This game was released with game ending bugs. These bugs have not been fixed in the 2 months and 23 days since I paid $59.99.
It is very obvious that making this game playable for those of us who paid full price is a very low priority for Larian. I see patch after patch released for the PC version yet here I am feeling like your company screwed me out of my money.
Why don't you get on the phone with Focus/Sony and find out why we don't have a patch yet. Even better... give us a freaking exact day this patch is expected to be released.
Telling us over and over that Focus/Sony has the patch is just putting the blame on someone else. I blame Larian.

Also, for all you PS4 owners experiencing this bug, Playstation WILL NOT refund your money because the game was playable (for a while) until the bug kicks in and ruins the game. If you ask Larian they say "talk to Sony". If you ask Sony they say "Talk to the Game developer".
Bottom line... you're stuck with an unplayable $60 game.

Larian can directly update the Steam version of the game. There is an extra step for GOG to update that version, but it generally happens within a working day. Larian can not directly update the console versions of the game. That patch process is much more elabourate, and involves both the publisher and Sony/Microsoft's own policies and procedures.
Saying that Sony and Microsoft have the patch is a statement of fact, and indicates that the patch is done and is going through the release process. Not everybody searches the forum or reads older topics before posting, so this does occasionally need to be repeated.

I'd like to start by saying thank you for the recent PS4 patch. I am now able to continue my game and there were some obvious issues with the loot tables that were fixed. The vendors now have many of the missing crafting components that I previously had not even encountered in the game.
That being said, I am still experiencing crashes about 50% of the time when saving. This seems to occur more often when saving in Luculla Forest. While the game is now playable, this bug is extremely frustrating.
Overall, the game itself is amazing but the bugs really do make the game less fun to play.

This is currently being looked into, and a couple of issue which could cause crashes have been fixed since the patch was finalized, which will be in the next update (no ETA yet).

I'm about 50 hours in on ps4, on my second attempt due to corrupted save file before latest patch. Now my game crashes every second or third save... It is becoming unplayable and is very frustrating to save after exploring or a big fight then have my game crash. Or to lose great loot to a game crash and get different items on next attempt. Is this being looked into, if so what's the eta on next patch ?

So now my game crashes on almost every save. I own the pc version and the ps4 version and this only happens on my ps4. I purchased the ps4 version to play with my friend and now we are at a point that our games are essentially unplayable. We are both exasperated with having to replay the same stuff over when a save crashes our game. What do we need to do to get a refund for our ps4 games. The game is unplayable with game breaking glitches, considering how long it's been released this is unacceptable.
