I play a mage. As you can guess I can't go toe-to-toe with those dwarfs when they surround me. So I drunk a shadow potion as soon as the dialogue finish. Ran to the southernmost part of room. Then constantly casted "Elemental Hail" on them. I would suggest that you use shadow potions for this situation.
