I also found Reginald's house after talking to the head but I can't get in because you need Lockpicking 2.
You can't get in the house? Have you tried burning the door down?
There are multiple ways to do things in this game. A locked door shouldn't stop you most of the time.
And regarding digging up graves ... I generally don't like doing those things either. However, if you don't explore all areas, you are missing out on game content. I left a few graves alone, such as the one with the dialog, and the old woman's relative, but the others I dug up. There is valuable experience to be had there.
I make sure to explore every nook and cranny of every dwelling I enter. Upstairs, cellar, everything. Sometimes, cellars lead to interesting places.
I also take everything I can get my hands on. In doing so, I can try out recipes and discover more about the game. Also, if I'm going to help the citizens of Cyseal, they had better start contributing to the cause.
I've never pickpocketed in other games, like Skyrim, but I do in this game. I like the challenge and the game mechanic. It also makes sneaking useful, as well as gear with the pickpocket bonus. It's too juicy to pass up!
I am level 4 and I have yet to step out of the city. I am too busy crafting, procuring valuables, selling, buying, and trying to figure out what spellbooks I need for the 4 characters. I'm over 50 hours at this point.
