There SHOULD be waypoint markers in multiple locations on this map?

It is like this on all the maps. Both secrets and waypoint icons are missing. I'm at the end of the game and just need to collect more start stones but even using guides and walkthroughs is hard because there are no icons that appear for secrets. :-(


Yeah i noticed same during serveral playthroughs, however i just assumed that i already got the secret before i read the map hence why it didnt appear.
