A few other people have run into similar issues. At least one problem (which could possibly give the in-game errors 523, 524, 525) has been fixed and there are others still being investigated.
If you email supportdos@larian.com, with description (or link to this topic) and one of your saves (especially if there are certain steps you can do that will reliably cause a crash trying to re-save), I will create a support issue to get a programmer to take a look at it, and determine if it is a known issue, or not. If it is it will at least provide another test case for a fix, and if not, it should help in identifying and fixing the problem.
You would need to transfer the save to a USB flash drive first.
In the Saved Data in System Storage section of the Settings menu, click Copy to USB Storage Device, select the save and Copy. From there you can zip the files, then copy to email or upload to Dropbox or Google drive, etc, and provide a link.
