Nice ass-licking you got there, I guess it's to compensate for your previous post on the thread with the tantrum guy. As I guess you know perfectly well that rock paper scissors being incomparably more difficult than tic tac toe is not what triggers the "anger", but perhaps you couldn't resist rambling twice about the simplicity of Diablo and Doom (not for slow finger people like you though) and honoring the greatest wit you can fathom.
Lol...w-w-what?...;)
I actually have liked Rock-paper-scissors since the first time I played the game...! I thought (and still think) it is a unique and original way to resolve differing points of view in the game. And I have found that in the EE it's sometimes possible to disagree with the other side of the argument, and that each character will receive a different bonus to a different character trait. I think it's improved if anything in the EE version.
I think that some don't understand the purpose of it--although it seems clear to me. At certain points the game diverges and more than one course of action becomes clear--and RPS is simply a novel way to resolve it/make the choice you prefer. In the EE if you study the responses and choose the appropriate one, you will find that the odds are heavily stacked in your favor. It's like a mini-game, in a sense. I like it--always have. And hey, this is a true save-anywhere game, and it's child's play to save the game before each RPS, and keep reloading and playing until you get your desired outcome--so you feel "in control"...;) RPS doesn't bother me, as it is such a small part of the game, and at no time do I ever feel that my characters are "out of control."
I don't think it's simpler than Diablo however, nor most click-fest games for that matter.
Talk about misunderstanding a post...;) What I said was that people get ticked because D:OS is *not* a simple-minded sort of Diablo-like game--because D:OS is *not* a clickfest...
