Hi all, first off - this may be specific to Linux(gog) version...
Creating multiple profiles: when my neighbour asked to try the game, I created a new profile for him and let him have a go for half an hour or so. When I went to go back to my profile it wasn't there on the selection UI. Checked with file manager, and found entire directory GONE (weeks of game play zapped!!). Being a programmer of many decades, I'm used to losing work - but it still hurts! Obviously I can't replicate the problem, because the files are gone, but when I created another new profile, played and saved - I found the save files in my neighbours sub-directory not the newly created profile. Having checked most every forum possible, I've not come across this being reported, so this is it.
