If the fact that crash issues have been identified and fixed, there is a patch, the patch is approved by Sony and will be released Monday doesn't give you any confidence that the problem can be fixed, there is nothing I or anyone else can say beyond this which would help with your feelings.
Do you know what could have helped? If you emailed support with one of your saves, a programmer could have looked at it and confirmed whether or not you were encountered a known issue, which would be fixed in the patch.
I know you'll read that as some kind of accusation, but if the pending release of the patch isn't enough, that is literally the only thing which would convince you.
