Hey Raze

I am playing on my external monitor while having Chrome open on my Macbook Pro.

"What happens when you try to switch to a windowed mode?"

I started up the game and before clicking continue went to options -> video and switched to Windowed. The game screen become nice and windowed. I clicked continue and it went back into the game. Just a moment afterward it crashed.

"Did you try lowering the game resolution or graphics settings, and seeing if that made a difference?"

I have not adjusted the game resolution or the graphic settings....yet. (Switched it later and the game instantly crashed again.)

"Try verifying local files: in the Steam library, right click on Divinity Original Sin Enhanced Edition and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the 'Verify Integrity of Game Cache...' button."

This seems like a very good tip! All files were successfully validated.

I restarted the game and it almost instantly crashed. I closed and restarted Steam -> started the game and continued for about a few seconds before it crashed again.

I have copied the crash report that is usually sent to Apple and pasted it into a text file.

I even began a new game to see if that would work. I got through the character creation and the intro screen but when it went into the game mode it crashed.

Went back to the original saved game where the problems started and resaved it.

I am sending the crash report and the saved game to support.

Thanks for your feedback Raze!
