Playing on tactician mode I have planned out 3 of my 4 characters.

Main=Crossbow User, Perception Scout
Second=??
Madora=Two Handed Warrior
Elessa=Water Master+Air+Witchcraft+Geo

Reserve
Jahan=Crafter

I have tried like 4 different builds for the 2nd character and didn't care much for them.
Sword+Shield
Dual Handed Warrior
Dual Handed Wanderer
Pyro Mage

I just can't decide. I played to level 5-6 around 10 times and I'm ready to continue on. I hoping players with more experience in the later parts of game might have some suggestions. Looking for something really effective or something really fun. Thanks in advance.

Another mage or a bow ranger would fit in that group. Maybe a mage focused on wands and support, since you didn't care for the fire build?

Maybe check out the builds in the Tactician/EE/Advanced Guide for one person's perspective, and maybe the related Steam discussion here. I don't think you have to worry about min/maxing the characters as much as the guide suggests, but it gives a good overview.

Thank, I will check out the info.

I have rolled a fire/geo mage since It was one of the first I tried and I might have a better understanding now of how to use them.

I would go with a rogue. Although they might not inflict too much damage during a fight (unless backstabbing), I found a rogue indispensable for solving puzzles and avoiding traps later in the game.

Sorry, I assumed that crossbow+perception meant a ranger or a wayfarer.

Yeah, I'm not really sure which way to go with him he's only level 4. I gave him lucky charm for fun he gets a lot of rare items plus it boosts offence rating which will be low with a high perception build. This guy is my utility guy for locks, traps, bartering and such. With gear from first town and stats from traits I boosted his utility skills pretty good. Not really sure what class he is or if I should use daggers, bows or maybe wands.

------------Base----------------
Dex 8
Perc 9
Light Stepper
Pet Pal
Politician
+3 lucky charm
+1 Scoundrel for shadow step
+1 hydro for regen

---------With Gear/Traits---------
Dex 10
Perc 12
+6 Lucky Charm - but takes shield
+5 Charisma
+4 Lockpick - but need to switch gear.
+2 Leadership
+2 Barter

Welcome to suggestions, since all my experience so far has been levels 1-5.

The rest of his stats and my 2nd character I want to focus strictly on fighting skills/abilities.

Try to get the Winged Feet skill as well - it helps a lot in many situations.

Yeah, I think I'm going to roll some different characters Jahan and Madora doing all the killing. How hard is a dual lonewolf team? Seems fun but I don't know.

I'm sitting at the character screen really struggling to come up with some builds. I want to be a Two hand warrior but Madora pulls that off better with comeback kid. Any suggestions would be welcome, 10+ restarts I'm ready to go.
