I made my way to headless Nick gave him his head back and cleared all mobs on the way there.

He mentioned another passage near head office which I presume is the black gate?

Problem is I can't seem to find the key for this gate anywhere and I have a feeling the guides out there a not accurate and that maybe this part was changed in the EE version.

Any ideas?

Bash the door in !!! or there is a key right by it When you fight all those orcs and skeletons

The passage is actually IN the Pirate Office. But you need to examine the room carefully before you find out how to reveal it.

Yeah door says lvl 20 and hitting it does no damage and can't see any key nearby using left alt with my character that has 8 perception. When I examine the door it shows immune/resistant 100% to all elements and weapon types like slashing, crushing, etc.

I can't find that key anywhere?

I don't mean the cove harbour door but the one before that where you get your first fight. I already opened the that door you are talking about via the switch behind the painting which leads to Nick.

I am trying to open the first door called he Black Ominous Gate.

So you defeated Pontius? Because the key is dropped by him, or in the vicinity.

I don't get what you mean...don't I get to Pontius by going through the ominous gate?

I made it to headless Nick, who is on a ship, gave him his head back and he says ya bla bla you can summon me now and learn about Pontious.

This is a dead end though with a Waypoint Shrine next to Nicks ship.

Edit: Ah damn I wasn't seeing the hidden hatch in the head office...lol
