Not having an ETA for a patch does not mean there is not going to be a patch. There are a small number of people affected by serious issues (which doesn't make fixing those issue any less important). For PS4, the main remaining issue (with the inventory/trading) has been fixed. In general there are a couple other reported issues that have not been reproduced, and one where the problem was found and last I heard the best way to implement a fix was still being investigated (for a rare issue where environmental status effects could become permanent) and some (relatively speaking) minor issues.
Before I talked to the producer I told you repeatedly there was no ETA for the next update. After, there was still no ETA, but I did bring up the issue. Even if that got the producer to take another look at the outstanding issues (which it did), that would not instantly give an ETA.
Even if the programmers focused just on the EE, that would not stop development of D:OS 2. The writers not writing wouldn't do anything for the EE. Scripters and level designers, etc, hired to work on D:OS 2 who don't know the tools and procedures are not going to be very helpful with the EE, etc.
Programmers also have various experience and expertise. Any particular programmer is not necessarily going to be able to help working with code or game systems which they are not familiar with.

If you wanted an answer, you would have actually read my previous replies. Previous answers, though, were apparently 'making excuses', anything not about you was irrelevant and correcting inaccurate statements was 'picking them apart'.
