The instructions I saw were to:
- set the virtual line as the default sound device
- run the 'Audio Repeater' from the VAC Start menu folder
- set the virtual line as 'Wave In' and the actual audio device as 'Wave out'
- select Mono for the 'Chanel config' and click start
