Hallo everybody, I've been working on this project (on and off) for several months, though mainly on the lore and background setting. But now I feel it's time to start getting some content out in the open.

This module is very small and basic in its scope, it's intended to be short and linear, but also to be part of a bigger story that should continue once Divinity: Original Sin 2 is released.

The player character(s) is part of a clandestine organization called "The Shadow Shields", whose role is to protect the crown and integrity of the kingdom of Dothnia. Just prior to the module start you're undergoing training to become a full member, at the island of Ocgar.

I'm not an experienced modder so progress is painstakingly slow, as I have to learn most thing by going through tutorials, though I'm starting to get a hang on some things. Added to that I also have an ongoing university education, a newly achieved fatherhood and a relationship, which all takes its toll on my time at hand. Although this fall semester I'm taking an optional university course on “Essential Computing” which should help a lot on the progress.

I hope to have the module released in a working version before D:OS 2 is released.

I do however have a lot of written lore material that I plan to release bits by bits as well.

(Envisioned) Features:
- A richly detailed "original" (they all steal inspiration somewhere) fantasy world.
- 6 different NPCs to join your adventure, all with unique motivations and background stories, of which 3 of them are almost fully developed ATM.
- An overarching main quest story that ties each released module together.
- 3 distinctly different areas planned (with more on the drawing board) for D:OS 2, besides the prequel for D:OS.

Current work focus:
-Major: Finalising the terrain as well as placing items for the first half of the prequel map.
-Major: Finishing the encyclopedia for Dothnia.
-Minor: Putting details on the handcrafted map of Dothnia.

Edit: Oh, I forgot to tell that I'd be happy to answer any question about the project and that if you want to contribute in any way please don't hesitate to post in the thread. wink

Cooming soon... An encyclopedia of the kingdom of Dothnia

An overview of lore content to come:

--- Countries ---

Dothnia: A human kingdom and the area where the mod will unfold.

Ganatha: A forest covered Elven kingdom that borders, and has a violent history, with Dothnia.

Deadwater: A massive swamp populated by lizardmen that is filled with venomous creature and diseases, which keeps outsiders away.

Kutharos: An ancient and conservative dwarven Kingdom that lies beneath the frozen mountains south of the Thydorian plateau.

Rani Palokto: (Dwarven for new forge) is a dwarven republic in the Stone Edge mountains founded at the conclusion of the dwarven exodus.

The United Realms: A powerfull human kingdom made up of 5 duchies.

Zhanbo: A human country ruled by a magocracy.

The Fire Isle: An archipelago that is home to minotaur pirates who plunders the strategically important Steaming Sea.

The Livfatnian Order: A theocratic country that strictly follows the teaching of its monotheistic religion. Originates from another continent but have been colonizing the peninsular west of the Shallow sea and the southern shore of the Kespian steppes.

City-States of Pearl Bay: Merchant republics...

Rul'mur: (Rul = people. Mur = desert) a people living in the Rul desert region.

Thydoria: Defunct ancient culture that flourished in the Thydorian valley and in the lands around it. Most humans, dwarves and elves claim their cultural heritage from this culture.

Ifnu: A now defunct empire that once encompassed many of today's countries, that suddenly succumbed to a mysteries curse that turned the population of its capital and heartland into the undead.

Thydorian: a polythiestic religion that is followed by most humans, dwarves and elves who have an cultural heritage from the Thydorian culture.

Livfatnian: Monotheistic religion that is being aggresively spread by its followers.

Lizardmen: A syncretic monotheistic lizardmen religion that recognises other religions deities power outside of the great swamp of Deadwater.

Kespian: An animalistic tribal religion followed by the tribes of the Kespi an steppes.

Rul'mur: The polytheistic religion of the Rul'mur.

Your posts above that are reserved, keep in mind there is an edit time limit on posts on this board.

One thing you can do to quickly spice up the visuals is use the extractor and take some of the atmosphere settings from main and dump them into your level's atmosphere folder. Then you can tweak them if needed.

Unfortunately they were all for the old editor so some things are different. For example ignore anything that mentions the standalone template. Also sometimes they'll mention creating a file that probably already exists because the EE includes a lot of these scripts by default.

If you ever need any help getting something to work or whatever post in here or bug me on steam. Always happy to mess around with the editor.

Do you mean that there are limited times (e.g. 5 times) that you can edit a post or a limited timespand (e.g. 1 month)?
