A couple of the original Ultima Online guys have spun off a new company that will be making games, but with an interesting approach.
They have a site called BrightLocker. The public submits game ideas and votes on them. The most popular ideas go up for crowd funding. Games that make funding goals will be produced by BrightLocker developers.
The site is worth checking out for a number of reasons. I'm sure that are some RPG fans here who would submit some great game ideas. I happen to have one up for voting at the moment called Meifumado. It pulls a lot of inspiration from Lone Wolf and Cub, Legend of the Five Rings, Planescape: Torment and Final Fantasy Tactics. I don't like spamming places, but I do need votes/support.
