Let's say that I'm really focused on the game and I've seriously no idea what the next update will be all about.

Which is reassuring, thanks.
But still, the community needs to know more. It's been more than 2 months since the last update, and almost one year since project creation.
I also seem to remember Larian saying that (paraphrasing) there would be no start from scratch? so quite a lot of content already available.

Not just the fans but the entire gaming community hehe .
So that supersedes the predecessor DoS, Baldur's gate 2: Shadows of Amn, Planescape:Torment and Pillars of Eternity.
Basically, I would like the game goes beyond . Pun intended.

Please explain. PS:T has the best narration and storytelling ever, in my opinion.

Agree. That's why I don't believe that DOS2 can actually outperform it - everything was too unique. It may very well end on par with it.

There are many writers working on it and judging by their previous experience, they are capable to do it.
Sven said in the video that there will be elements involved of darker psychological thriller story.

Including the PsT head, Chris Avellone himself.
We'll see.
Actually, which video are you talking about?

who knows, maybe Chris will be able to sneak an incarnation of Ravel in DOS2?

Somewhere else (I think at gog) somebody wrote about the system shock 1 remake:

After he left Obsidian, Chris has a new job: He is a professional kickstarter stretch goal.

So right now he works on D:OS2, Torment ToN, System Shock remake (why does the remake of a shooter that is produced by the makers of the original need a new writer?) and maybe others.
I do not know how he splits his time between these projects. But he made some of the best stories in video game history ever (PST, KotoR2, MotB) and if he makes the games of other devs better thats fine with me.

That's a really good question. Maybe we could open new thread becasue this is slightly offtopic.
Not only these projects but he's also scheduled on Prey.

I don't know how he manages his time? think
It believe that time managment and creativity is the key of the success.
