Forgetting the frustrating source temple puzzles, both outside and inside its walls, I wanted to vent my disappointment at the final boss fight.

My friend and I had been playing the game for over 60 hours by that point, and we found ourselves with 2 sudden allies, both of which we'd spent barely any time at all with.

The White Witch, fused with her sister, and a random man called Zandalor. I understand he's been in other games, but I hadn't seen him before. We'd heard of him in random dialogue, and were carrying his pants around for most of the game, but our problem was how he acted in the final boss fight.

He spent the entire battle casting haste on our characters, and hitting the White Witch in the face. We spent the entire battle trying to heal him and protect the Divine.

It felt like we were spinning plates. It wasn't fun at all!

It actually reached a point where the White Witch was a few hits from dying, and at the same time, so was the final boss.

I then teleported him away from her, and attacked the boss.

The other characters then did the same, and the boss was a line from dying.

Up steps Zandalor... who cast haste on my friend's character, fired a spell at the White Witch, and smacked the boss in the head... killing him.

After over 60 hours of playing and fighting and dying and reloading... a complete stranger, after being nothing put a thorn in our sides the entire fight, beat the final boss.

The game then suddenly drops us in to the final area of the game, and who is there celebrating with us? Zandalor!!!

I'm afraid we couldn't help ourselves... and created our own final boss battle.

Every ally we made during the game, every choice we'd made didn't matter anymore. People only moments prior, calling us heroes, attacked us after we dropped 60 meteors on top of Zandalor.

Ahru forced us out of the building, but we were determined. We killed Bairdtr, Jahan, Madora... everyone... everyone but Zandalor... of course. Doing so triggers an immediate game over.

It kind of ended in a funny way... but still, the last few hours derailed 60 hours of fun.

I really hope D:OR2 doesn't have a similar ending. I want the final fight to be the team I've been building for days and days, fighting the enemy I've been pushing towards. I don't want some stranger taking the glory and getting in my way.

Very disappointing for me frown
