I'm currently stopped by the door with the face, soon after the entry to the Source Temple. It keeps telling me that I’m not quite ready to enter yet. The implication is that I need to discover more of my backstory before I’m allowed to proceed. The problem is that I’m unable to get anything more to trigger.
I’m playing the Enhanced Edition which I downloaded a couple of weeks ago from Steam (I've owned the original game right back from the days when it was being tested with only the Cyseal area unlocked). It seems to be running offline as I don't have to start Steam for it to run. Version 2.0.119.430 on a Mac. If any of that matters...
SPOILERS:
I have read that you need to collect around twelve stones and that they can be either the spent variety (grey inert stones) or still unused bloodstones (pinkish red). These are also used to get the imp to open the portals in the Homestead area. Is that correct?
I now have a total of 16 stones in the inventory of one of the main characters - 9 grey inert stones and 7 red bloodstones. But only nine portals have opened in the Homestead. Four are still inactive and the imp won’t talk about them or move out of his chair. I’ve seen 3 videos that reveal the past. I’ve also read numerous old diaries and letters in the portal rooms and talked to all the occupants, including Astarte and a blue/black demon dude named The Trife.
This doesn’t seem to be enough to satisfy the door.

Observatory
Hall of Heroes
Inner Chamber
Frost
Stone
Flames
Hall of Secrets
Armoury
Hall of Darkness
I’ve tried dropping the stones and re-adding them to inventory and also swapping the stones to the other main character. But no luck getting the remaining portals to open, more video(s) to run, or the rest of the tapestry to clear.
Have I missed a step, or is this a bug?
