Oh so the fans of a company who basically pushed it from producing classics (Baldur's Gate) to producing soft-porn RPG's want it, we obviously should add it.
I'm sure you could make your point without resorting to exaggeration and attacking Bioware fans.
Coming from places like the Obsidian forums and RPGCodex, I can assure you... the BioWare forums and it's users are the laughing stock of RPG fans.
Pillars of Eternity also had little ?'s just like Baldur's Gate giving some text about the surroundings or things of interest in a room. Wouldn't mind seeing such in D:OS either. Don't have to be float, a small textbox upon clicking (like with the grave in Cyseal but also for non-quest related stuff) will do.
There is a general agreement on this. Great!
The comment about Obsidian forums and RPGCodex have certainly convinced me that the subsequent suggestion is not worthy of consideration.
As for the isometric view, in my view it is part of the overall style of the games, and attempting to combine another type of display could well result in a disappointing mish-mash of a display.
The one thing I would like to see is an improvement in the ability to target enemies when they are obscured by overhanging objects such as trees or when the image moves about. Even with the top-down view in the EE, it is sometimes difficult to target an attack rather than move beside the enemy. The only solution I have found is to quick-save after each successful action, which makes battles less than fun.
