Dear Larian
You are making the same error again. Crafting in D:OS wasn't really popular because the crafting recipes were illogical and they were stated nowhere.

Please, make a Crafting Recipes Encyclopedia or something similar inside the game, as a part of UI or as a purchasing item!

Let the crafting fill players' wallets with gold!

I disagree with you on D:OS 1 as its one of the coolest systems out there but you are correct not profitable. Aside from profit the majority of the recipes were found in books spread out in the world once crafted would then appear in your known recipe list. I think in the EE once you just clicked on the book the recipe was added but originally you had to read it make one of those items then it would be added.

Some of the recipes were not in books and either experimented or found on the internet I believe this was only due to the fact that this was one of the last things added to DOS1 and did not have time for polish.

I can tell you in the current alpha crafting is barely implemented some recipes call for a skill that does not exist some combinations say unknown result and yield nothing. I can tell you that recipe books do exist I found one in the alpha. If I were to wager a guess I am sure since this time it is their intent off the bat that all recipes will be found in the world. Whether or not the items should yield profitable results is a matter for the Devs intentions.

A good debate for the forums since one of the tabs is labeled "experiment" should all recipes be found in game via books/questing? Or should some be left to the imagination? And should the value of crafted items go up to make crafting for profit rather than use a viability?

I liked the crafting system in EE, never bothered much before: too confusing not much reward.
I'm trying to craft now in 2 but I have a couple of problems, if anyone knows the solution i would appreciate it:

-tried crafting magic needle and thread, it said item unknown and sucked up my ingredients. is this not in game yet or do i need more of a stat (loremaster?)?
-how do you make clothing, tried both leather and cloth like in EE, needle and thread with cloth or leather scraps and nothing worked. did it change or am i forgetting something?

There IS a crafting list in D:OS 1 albeit not that great (can't filter anything out which is annoying).

So it could be enhanced, but I'm more concerned about the recipes themselves (only one sword recipe for example or the fact that +1 attributes ingredients only works on amulets / belts / rings.

Crafting in DOS2 is not working properly for now it seems. Recipes from books are not saving, many combinations from DOS1 are not working, can't switch to other party members inventory.

Hi there, I've been working on the Wikia for the past 2 days, here is a crafting master list page I made, if you find any recipes that work feel free to add them to it. http://divinity.wikia.com/wiki/Crafting_(DoS:2)

Thanks for starting that Kokoro-Sensei, was thinking of doing the same.

Updated the note on Attar of the Black Rose. It does stack right now, but I have a sneaky suspicion that that will change. Put a buff icon next to the character portrait, then a second one when I did another. So far I've only found 3 Blood Roses around.

Somewhat on that topic... why Blood Roses to make Attar of the Black Rose eh?
