Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - General Paladin Cork

While fighting a load of Magisters, I noticed a guy named Paladin Cork attempting to fight with me.
Unfortunately he died. So I was wondering if it's worth saving him - is he a playable character?

Since I started with the Red Prince, and I made him an Inquisitor, I have found the game annoyingly impossible to find any characters to use for melee (other than Scoundrel)

Is Cork playable (a knight?) and if so, is he savable in this encounter.

He's not playable, he's an npc sent by Arhu to investigate Fort Joy. If you save him he just thanks you and runs off.

I don't recall mention of Arhu in his dialogue. That's interesting

I teleported my rogue on the walls and sneaked to that door where the paladin talks to the magisters. He wants to free the source users because they are the children of the divine but the magisters say that his order is too small and they have nothing to say in that matter. My character was revealed and the paladin joined me in fight, but I reloaded the game and went away.
